Our Design Process
Consultation → Idea Discussion → Budget Planning → Sketch → CAD Design → 3D Approval → Manufacturing → Stone Setting → Polishing → Quality Check → Certification (where applicable) → Gift Packaging → Delivery
Want the full walkthrough of how each stage actually works, from the first sketch to the final polish? Read our complete craftsmanship guide.
Step 1 — Consultation & Idea Discussion
Start by sending us your idea on WhatsApp — a photo, a screenshot, a sketch on a napkin, a Pinterest link, or just a description in your own words. There's no wrong way to start. Our team responds within 1 business day.
Step 2 — Budget Planning
We talk through what's achievable within your budget — metal choice, stone type, carat weight, and setting complexity all affect cost, and we walk you through the trade-offs honestly before any design work begins. See our full pricing guide for a detailed breakdown of what drives cost.
Step 3 — Sketch
We send you a hand-drawn sketch of your design. You review it, suggest changes, and we refine it until it looks exactly right.
Step 4 — CAD Design & 3D Approval
Once the sketch is approved, our team creates a detailed CAD rendering — a precise 3D visualisation showing every angle, proportion, and stone placement. You approve this before a single piece of metal is touched.
Step 5 — Manufacturing, Stone Setting & Polishing
Our in-house artisans cast, set, and polish the piece in our own manufacturing unit. No outsourcing, no third parties.
Step 6 — Quality Check & Certification
Before dispatch, every piece goes through a final quality check — setting integrity, finish, and stone security. Silver pieces are BIS hallmarked. Natural gemstone and lab grown diamond pieces include certification.
Step 7 — Gift Packaging & Delivery
Your piece ships in our premium gift box with a handwritten card, and we share tracking details with you on WhatsApp.
Why Choose a Custom Piece?
-
Perfect fit — sized and shaped exactly for you, not a generic size run
-
Unique design — a piece that exists nowhere else
-
Celebrate milestones — engagements, anniversaries, births, achievements
-
Meaningful gifts — built around a specific person, story, or memory
-
Match your style — not adjusted to fit a catalogue, but built around what you actually want
-
Use your own gemstones — incorporate stones you already own into a new setting
-
Modernise heirlooms — rebuild inherited jewellery into something you'll actually wear
Can You Make Jewellery From My Photo?
Yes — this is one of the most common ways people start a custom order. We work from:
-
Pinterest inspiration — saved boards or single pins
-
Instagram inspiration — screenshots of styles you like
-
Existing jewellery photos — a piece you already own or saw elsewhere
-
Hand sketches — even a rough drawing is enough to start
-
AI-generated concepts — if you've used an AI tool to mock up an idea, send it over
-
Old family photos — useful for heirloom remodelling, to understand the original design
Jewellery We Can Recreate
We can design pieces inspired by a wide range of aesthetics and eras:
- Celebrity-inspired designs
- Vintage styles
- Art Deco
- Minimalist
- Floral motifs
- Nature-inspired designs
- Temple-inspired traditional designs
- Contemporary styles
We design pieces inspired by these aesthetics and references — we do not reproduce exact branded or trademarked designs. Our artisans interpret the style, proportion, and feeling of a reference into an original piece that's legally and creatively your own.
Gemstone Guide
Diamonds — the hardest natural material, Mohs 10, suitable for daily wear in any setting.
Lab Grown Diamonds — chemically and physically identical to natural diamonds, certified, at a meaningfully lower price. Read our full lab grown diamond guide.
Emerald — Mohs 7.5–8, a softer stone that benefits from protective settings; avoid ultrasonic cleaning.
Ruby — Mohs 9, very durable, suitable for daily wear including rings.
Sapphire — Mohs 9, exceptionally durable, available in blue and other colours.
Tanzanite — Mohs 6.5–7, a softer, rarer stone best suited to earrings and pendants over daily-wear rings.
Morganite — Mohs 7.5–8, a soft pink stone, popular for romantic and engagement pieces.
Opal — Mohs 5.5–6.5, delicate and best protected from impact and dryness; avoid daily-wear settings.
Aquamarine — Mohs 7.5–8, durable enough for most jewellery types.
Tourmaline — Mohs 7–7.5, comes in a wide range of colours, generally durable for daily wear.
Pearl — Mohs 2.5–4.5, organic and soft; best suited to earrings, pendants, and occasional-wear rings rather than daily-wear settings, and should be kept away from perfume and chemicals.
Metal Guide
| Metal | Durability | Colour | Best For |
|---|---|---|---|
| 925 Sterling Silver | Good, rhodium plated for tarnish resistance | Bright white | Everyday jewellery, accessible custom pieces |
| 9K Gold | Very durable, hardest gold purity | Lighter gold tone | Daily wear on a budget |
| 10K Gold | Durable | Slightly richer than 9K | Daily wear with a warmer tone |
| 14K Gold | Strong balance of durability and richness | Rich gold tone | The global standard for fine jewellery |
| 18K Gold | Softer, more prone to scratching | Richest, most premium tone | Occasion pieces, statement jewellery |
| Platinum | Extremely durable, naturally white | Cool white, doesn't fade | Premium engagement and wedding jewellery |
Maintenance generally increases with softness and decreases with hardness — 9K and 10K gold need the least upkeep, while 18K gold and softer gemstone settings benefit from more careful handling and periodic professional checks.
Manufacturing Expertise
Every custom piece passes through the same disciplined process we use across our entire catalogue: CAD design, 3D printing, wax modelling, casting, hand-setting, polishing, rhodium finishing, quality control, and premium packaging. See the full manufacturing process in detail.
Common Customer Concerns
Can you match another ring? Yes, we can design pieces inspired by a reference image, while creating an original interpretation rather than an exact copy.
How long does it take? Typically 10–15 working days from design confirmation to dispatch.
Can I use my own gold? Speak to us on WhatsApp about your specific request; this depends on the gold's purity and condition.
Can I resize later? Yes, resizing is available after delivery for most ring designs.

Jewellery Care
Cleaning — warm water, mild soap, and a soft brush for most pieces; avoid ultrasonic cleaners for softer gemstones like opal, pearl, and emerald.
Storage — store pieces separately in a soft pouch or lined box to prevent scratching.
Travel — use a dedicated jewellery case or pouch, and avoid leaving pieces in checked luggage.
Repairs — contact us directly for any repair needs on pieces we've made.
Polishing — periodic professional polishing keeps gold and silver pieces looking new.
Servicing — an annual prong and setting check is good practice for rings worn daily.
Insurance — higher-value custom pieces, particularly those with natural gemstones or lab grown diamonds, are worth insuring based on their certified value.
Resizing — available after delivery for most ring designs; contact us to arrange.
Factory-Direct Advantages
This is where we differ from most jewellery retailers:
- In-house manufacturing — every piece is designed, cast, set, and finished under one roof
- Direct communication with the design team — you talk to the people actually making your piece, not a sales intermediary
- Better value without retail markups — no distributor, no wholesaler, no retail chain adding margin
- Quality checks throughout production — not just a final inspection, but checks at each stage
- Flexible customisation — because we control the full process, we can accommodate requests a retailer reselling someone else's stock cannot
-
Access to skilled artisans — direct hands-on craftsmanship, not outsourced to a third party
